Demitasse after dinner coffee service for four from Russel Wright’s American Modern collection produced in Steubenville, Ohio beginning in 1939.
Set is comprised of the small coffee pot (4" x 8.5" and 2 cup. capacity), rectangular serving platter (13"), four demitasse cups (1.5” h x 2.5” dia) and matching saucers (4.5”) in a lovely shade of speckled coral.
There are variegations to the shade of coral throughout the set, as is typical of Steubenville ceramics. Any blemishes to glaze or surface are a result of the firing process, there are stilt marks to the underside of several pieces, and a glaze imperfection on one saucer. The service is without chips, cracks, or damage from use.
